They are trying really hard to make Aliante Station seem like “the place to be”. Problem is the commercials airing on local television are cheesy and the people shown are not that attractive nor does the casino look that nice.

We locals have lots of choices as far as gaming goes. Opportunities abound (you can even play video poker at the supermarket — sadly, it seems many people do). The Strip is right in the middle of the city, local casinos are strategically located around town and there are always the taverns, burger places and pizza joints that all offer counter-top gaming alongside your meal.

So who wants to drive all the way to the far northern end of the city to visit Aliante Station?

All of the local news broadcasts are leading with a story about the possible bankruptcy of Stations Casinos. They are the latest gaming company to seek bankruptcy protection or a way to restructure their debts in order to stay in business.

Many are speculating whether or not the company will be split up. They own the Stations casinos, Fiesta casinos, Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch and Alliante.
