Today I opened my garage and saw a pair of pigeons walk-walk-walking across the driveway. Under normal circumstances this would not be something to think twice about (much less to blog about) but it occurred to me that these were the first pigeons I’d ever seen in my neighborhood. Thinking back on my first few months in Las Vegas I really cannot remember seeing any pigeons before. I have no idea why they are not living in our area in larger numbers but it probably has something to do with the newness of our development. Or do pigeons just not live in the desert? Inquiring minds want to know!
