Local taxi service in Las Vegas is not as bad as you might think. Most people assume that it takes a really long time to get a cab because they are clustered around the airport or in the casino areas but this is not the case. There are a number of taxi cabs reserved for residential use. I called for a cab earlier today and was picked up within 20 minutes. A nice lady named Juanita told me that taxis like hers were restricted from going to the tourist areas to better serve local residents. Very cool.
